    3 Steps to starting EXDENSUR

    Step 1: Date

Schedule your EXDENSUR injection, given by a healthcare provider every 6 months. You can receive EXDENSUR at your doctor’s office or at an Alternate Site of Care (ASOC).

Work with your doctor to determine where you'll receive EXDENSUR, then schedule your appointment and ongoing follow-up appointments once every 6 months.

    Step 2: Delivery

Your doctor may work with a specialty pharmacy to order EXDENSUR. The specialty pharmacy may call you to confirm the shipment of your EXDENSUR. If you miss their call, check your texts and voicemail and be sure to connect.

    Step 3: Dose

On the day of your EXDENSUR dose, a healthcare provider will inject EXDENSUR. Be sure to let them know if you experience any injection site reactions.

Keep track of how you feel, and if you have any questions or miss a dose, reach out to your doctor as soon as you can.

A few important things to keep in mind as you get started

EXDENSUR is not used to treat sudden breathing problems. At your doctor’s office, provide a list of the medications you’re taking, including oral or inhaled corticosteroids, prescription or over-the-counter medications, or vitamins and herbal supplements.

Do not change or stop taking your other medicines unless instructed to do so by your healthcare provider.

When speaking to your doctor, remember to discuss your symptoms, all of your medical conditions, if you have a parasitic infection, if you’re pregnant or plan to become pregnant, and if you’re breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Babies exposed to EXDENSUR before birth may have higher and longer-lasting levels of the medicine in their bodies. It is not known if EXDENSUR may harm your unborn baby.
